Is the LED just a gimmick?

Fair question. Light-assisted whitening has been studied, but in gel protocols: a 12-month randomised study (Lopes et al., Frontiers in Dental Medicine, 2024) used violet light around 405-410 nm. Our brush has six blue LEDs at 425 nm, and nobody has tested a toothbrush's LEDs on their own.

So we sell this as an excellent sonic brush with a Whitening mode, not as a whitening treatment. For the treatment, there is the Starter Kit.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 30 days brushing two minutes twice a day. Longer sessions or a shared handle mean charging sooner. It sits on a wireless charging station, so there is no port to keep dry.

Can I use it in the shower?

It is waterproof for normal bathroom use, and you can rinse it under the tap. Dry the head between brushes and it will last its full three months.

Which heads fit?

WeSmile Sonic heads only, sold in a 2-pack. Two heads come in the box.

I have sensitive teeth or gums. Which mode?

Start on Gum Care and hold the brush lightly. If sensitivity or bleeding lasts more than a couple of weeks, see your dentist or hygienist.

Does it work with the whitening kit?

Yes. Brush first, then the gel. Between courses, Whitening mode helps keep new surface stains from building up.
